The Exeter has launched a new private health insurance policy called Health+ with a ‘digital first’ approach.
The policy and its accompanying HealthWise app have been designed in collaboration with specialist advisers, who wanted to build exactly the right health insurance policy for their clients.
Health+ comprises a core cover module, which includes unlimited cover for cancer, in-patient and day-patient treatment. Advisers can then tailor cover to meet client needs though optional benefit add-ons including a mental health module and cover for therapies.
Optional excesses, together with a choice of underwriting methods, give advisers the ability to flex premiums and work to a wide range of budgets, including a non-compulsory, No Claims Discount.
The HealthWise app, launched in partnership with Square Health, will for the first time allow members of the Exeter to access digital health services and benefit from ‘e-treatments’.
Through the app, Health+ members will have instant access to a GP on demand and a second medical opinion service, together with physiotherapy and mental health specialist consultations via video.
Members can access all HealthWise benefits without making a claim, so it will not impact any No Claims Discount.
