The Leeds Building Society has appointed Chris Long as head of business intelligence.
Long (pictured) joins the mutual from Close Brothers, where he was MI systems manager with responsibility for business intelligence and Data Strategy.
He has over 15 years experience and over that time has delivered large scale business intelligence programmes in financial services.
A key objective of his new role with Leeds Building Society is to establish a Business Intelligence Competency Centre (BICC), a cross-functional team which will define tasks, responsibilities and processes to support and promote the effective use of Business Intelligence across the Society.
Long said: “I am excited by Leeds Building Society’s 10 year strategy, and feel that an improved data capability will support its execution.
“BI technologies can help with how data is translated and shared for analysis, and I am looking forward to helping the Society make better use of data in its decision making.”
