30 cyclists from the Leeds Building Society are taking part in the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride on Saturday 18 June to raise funds for children and adults with multiple and profound disabilities cared for by Hollybank Trust.

The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride has become a regular part of, and one of the best supported, annual Colleague Charity Group fundraising activities at the Society. The Great Yorkshire Bike Ride supports a varied group of charities each year of which Hollybank is one.

Hollybank Trust is a charity with close connections to colleagues at the Society, and is one of the charities they voted to support throughout the year, along with Alzheimer’s Society, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Great North Air Ambulance.

Jeanette Cartwright, customer liaison manager at Leeds Building Society, said: “The atmosphere at Hollybank is always happy and cheerful, the enthusiasm and compassion the carers show each child is overwhelming.

“It makes me feel proud that my colleagues are continuing their ongoing support for the charity via the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride and helping to make everyday experiences, which we take for granted, into new and exciting ones for the children.”

Susan Marsden, partnerships fundraiser at Hollybank Trust, said: “Our long standing relationship with Leeds Building Society is one which is very much appreciated by everyone at Hollybank Trust. The Great Yorkshire Bike ride is just one of many ways in which funds are raised for Hollybank. We are delighted, and extremely grateful, for such impressive team support for 2016’s event.”
