The Mansfield Building Society appoints national development manager

The Mansfield Building Society has recruited Paul Lewis to the role of national development manager.

Lewis (pictured) joins the Mansfield after the retirement of Steve Walton in August. A former professional footballer, Lewis joins after a 15 year career with Royal Bank of Scotland Group where he rose to senior private banking manager, looking after key business relationships.

He will lead the Mansfield’s intermediary sales team, a five strong team of sales and business development support, solely dedicated to supporting mortgage intermediaries.

Richard Crisp, commercial development executive, said Lewis’s recruitment demonstrated the commitment and ambition that the Mansfield has for its broker relationships:

He said: “Paul joins the Mansfield at an exciting time, we’ve had several successful years of mortgage growth and we’re looking to build on that success. Brokers provide a huge amount of value across the industry and in the current housing market,

“Paul’s team will be highly influential in making sure that brokers are fully aware of the products and services that we provide.”

Lewis added: “I’m really looking forward to working with the team here at The Mansfield. So far, I’ve been very impressed with the team ethic across the whole of the Society and I’m really proud to be leading an intermediary team full of expertise – everyone currently working within the team is either CeMAP qualified or has had hands-on underwriting experience.

“As we look to build on our existing relationships and forge new ones, not only will we be talking to brokers about our diverse range of mortgage options, we’ll also be devoted to delivering the highest level of service.”
