The Skipton appoints director of business development

The Skipton Building Society has announced that Paul Fenn, its current director of branch distribution, will become the mutual’s new director of business development from the new year.

This follows the retirement of Paul Darwin, director of intermediary relationships, who will be retiring at the end of December after serving the Society for 28 years.

The new business development role will see Fenn (pictured) overseeing mortgage intermediary relationships and financial advice affinity partnerships.

Fenn has also had roles at Amber Home Loans and the society’s former group subsidiary, HML (Homeloan Management Limited).

He said: “I’m delighted to be leading on establishing the business development channel at Skipton. The opportunity to work with our highly rated and well established intermediary relationship team and grow further business development opportunities will enable us to deliver so much more for our clients and customers.

“At Skipton we really do pride ourselves on offering all our partners and customers the best service, products and innovations. And I’m really looking forward to catching up with our key partners and contacts.”
