The Yorkshire appoints chief people officer

Yorkshire Building Society Group has appointed Susana Berlevy as its chief people officer.

Originally from Spain, Berlevy (pictured) has over 20 years’ experience in human resources and has held senior positions at financial services organisations, including Lloyds, HSBC, RBS and Hiscox.

She began her career at Spanish oil company CAMPSA, before moving to the UK and progressing her career with organisations including BP, Iberia Airlines and The British Standards Institution.

She is due to join Yorkshire Building Society in the second quarter of 2018, subject to regulatory approval.

Mike Regnier, the Yorkshire Building Society’s chief eecutive, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Susana as our newly appointed chief people officer. As a human resources expert with an understanding of the importance of mutual values, her strategic leadership skills, extensive capabilities and experience make her an excellent candidate for this important role.

“I have every confidence she will help the Society continue to nurture a positive and supportive working environment for all colleagues.”
