Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation is calling on the public to help it donate thousands of pounds to charities across the nation by nominating a good cause in its annual ‘Make A Difference Week’ giveaway.
This is the fifth year that the Charitable Foundation’s ‘Make A Difference’ campaign has run and in those five years £389,750 has already been shared out between 5,366 charities and good causes throughout the UK.
This year’s campaign runs from 17-25 August with every one of the 227 branches and 94 agencies within the Yorkshire Group looking for nominations from members of the public for the charities they would like to see receive a £100 boost.
To celebrate the fifth anniversary of ‘Make A Difference Week’ every branch and agency can recommend up to five charities and good causes nominated by members of the public to receive £100 donation.
“Make A Difference week has always been a brilliant success that gives some of the smaller charities the chance to get a helping hand,” said Adrian Horsley, campaign manager for Yorkshire Building Society.
“Yorkshire is committed to supporting local communities, where our members and staff live and work and we are hoping that by having members of the public call in and nominate their favourite charity we are hoping we can help support some of the smaller good causes that can often be overlooked for a donation.
“I hope anybody passing a Yorkshire, Barnsley, Chelsea or Norwich & Peterborough branch between 17th and 25th August will pop in, pick up a nomination form and tell us who they want to see receive £100.”
