The Treasury Committee has approved the re-appointment of Martin Weale as a member of the Monetary Policy Committee at the Bank of England.
The Committee said it is satisfied that Dr Weale has the professional competence and personal independence to be reappointed and wishes him every success in his continuing role.
The Committee will publish a report reflecting this decision.
