Masthaven Bank has announced the appointment of Alan Margolis as its credit and operations director for short-term lending.
He has over 20 years experience in financial services and joins from Fintex Capital where he was real estate project leader. Previous roles include head of bridging at United Trust Bank and chief executive of Cheval Property Finance.
In the newly created role Margolis will be involved in Masthaven’s key credit decisions. This will include reviewing underwriting processes, innovating broker journeys and communication, driving product updates and supporting the bank’s short-term lending division.
Jon Hall, managing director at Masthaven, said: “The bridging finance sector will always be a key part of Masthaven’s plans as we continually challenge the service and products we provide to our intermediary partners and their clients.
“Bringing experts such as Alan into the team underpins our ambition to ensure we keep this service moving forwards and I am delighted such a well-regarded and experienced bridging professional has joined the team.”
James Bloom, managing director of short-term lending at Masthaven, added: “Alan has a substantial amount of experience in the market and we know he will be a real asset to us here at Masthaven. We are currently in a considerable growth phase, with several more exciting new products being launched and we are delighted that Alan will help us through this process to ensure we can continue to offer exceptionally high service levels.
“There are very few people in the market who have Alan’s knowledge and experience and it is a testament to our growing reputation that we have managed to attract someone of this calibre – welcome to Masthaven Alan.”
