Dragonfly Property Finance has appointed a new credit manager.
Peter Hornet joins the short-term lender from Oakwood Global where he worked in a number of specialist property and finance roles during a two-year period.
Prior to Oakwood, Hornet worked at Beacon Home Loans.
He will report into Matt Smith, Dragonfly Property Finance’s head of credit and servicing.
Hornet said: “Bridging is a rapidly growing sector and one I have been keen to get involved in for some time. As the most prolific lender in the sector, Dragonfly was the obvious choice. I have also been eager to get back into underwriting and risk, and with this in mind the sheer diversity of loan applications at Dragonfly represents a great challenge.
“I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and helping Dragonfly maintain its exceptional growth rate.”
Jonathan Samuels, CEO, Dragonfly Property Finance, said: “With his extensive industry experience, Peter is a great addition to the team and his arrival could not have come soon enough. The first quarter of the year was our biggest ever and the second is already shaping up to be much the same.
