Finova has revealed that its employees will be participating in the Whitechapel Mission’s breakfast challenge – a mission project that feeds unhoused people in central London – this month.
As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, finova’s newly established finova Foundation will encourage employees to use their paid volunteer days to support the initiative. The philanthropic arm of finova aims to use the business as a force for good and will motivate employees to be a part of something bigger by joining this meaningful initiative.
Participating employees will prepare and serve breakfast to as many as 350 people, working in teams of six to nine.
The Whitechapel Mission, an organisation serving the homeless and marginalised since 1876, offers a wide range of services. These include a day centre, skills training facilities, career advice and specialised support for complex needs. The Mission aims to create a lasting impact that empowers individuals and helps unhoused people regain their skills and confidence. The breakfast challenge is one of many challenges for volunteers.

Not only will this project help us give back to our community, but it will be a valuable bonding opportunity for many of our employees to collaborate in-person, especially with those who may work in different areas of the business, all while making a positive difference.”
