Front Events has announced its seminar programme for the Financial Services Expo (FSE) Glasgow, which takes place on Tuesday 21 March at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel, 1 William Street, Glasgow.

The sessions on the day are:

  • The Scottish economy, housing and mortgage market – Robert Sinclair, chief executive of AMI, provides a view on the current and future landscape for Scotland.
  • Mortgage panel debate – Gary Salter of Nationwide, Ian Ferguson of Aviva, John Coffield of Paradigm Mortgage Services, Alistair Ewing of The Lending Channel, and Jason Berry of Uinsure, debate ‘major’ mortgage issues.
  • The changing world of buy-to-let – Liz Syms of Connect for Intermediaries looks at how the buy-to-let market is evolving and what advisers might expect throughout 2017.
  • Later life lending/equity release challenges – Adam Carnall of Age Partnership and Dean Mirfin of Key Retirement tackle the growth area of both later life lending and equity release, outlining how advisers can work to help clients in these sectors.

FSE Glasgow will be offering a range of over 40 exhibitors, including the FCA. Other exhibitors include lenders such as Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, Accord Mortgages, Coventry for Intermediaries, alongside other providers, insurance, distributors, networks, and many more.

All attendees earn CPD hours by visiting FSE Glasgow.

James Prosser, managing director of Front Events, organisers of FSE Glasgow, said: “The seminar programme is a key part of any FSE event and we have put together a strong series of presentations for Glasgow this year. Given we are north of the border we have an in-depth look at the Scottish economy and mortgage market from Robert Sinclair, a lender panel debate comprised of key industry commentators, a review of the changes and evolution of the buy-to-let market, plus a considered analysis of two sectors which grow in importance, later life lending and equity release.

“All our speakers are highly knowledgeable and will be seeking to leave attendees fully-informed and with plenty of information to take back to their businesses.

“We’re also incredibly pleased to be able to announce that the FCA will be exhibiting at FSE Glasgow, providing advisers with an opportunity to speak directly to the regulator and to ask questions and share any thoughts they might have with them. Added to our other exhibitors – now numbering over 40 – we believe we’re offering all attendees a broad spread of adviser-facing businesses that value their broker relationships and want to provide them with quality services and products.”
