Just Mortgages has become the top firm in Openwork.
In under two years of being a part of the Openwork network, Just Mortgages has become not only the top large mortgage firm, but also the top overall firm for mortgage business, GI and protection for both sales and commission.
During that time Just Mortgages has increased the number of brokers in its firm from 120 to 230, almost doubling head count and wrote £1.6billion of lending in the last year.
In the time it has been a member of Openwork, Just Mortgages has launched a self-employed division to cater for those brokers who want to run their own businesses, but still in an environment where they can receive training and support.
Just Mortgages also launched a customer services division, which has helped to increase the proportion of remortgages to more than 30% of total business.
Antony Lark, managing director of Just Mortgages, said: “We are over the moon to be the top firm within Openwork, not only in the mortgage category, but also outperforming all other advice firms.
“We have worked really hard to create an environment that brokers want to be a part of, while also creating a culture where best advice for the borrower is at the heart of everything that we do. For this to be recognised is outstanding.”
John Phillips (pictured), group operations director of Just Mortgages and Spicerhaart, added: “This is an exceptional achievement by all the team and everyone who has been involved in Just Mortgages. The team go from strength to strength and their results speak for themselves.
“In a market where the estate agency market has been struggling at times, to continue to grow our mortgage arm is testament to the quality of brokers and staff throughout Just Mortgages.”
Paul Shearman, Openwork’s proposition director for mortgages, protection and general insurance, said “The growth of Just Mortgages has been highly impressive. It really is an outstanding firm and an outstanding achievement.”
