Keystone Property Finance will help landlords who want to support Ukrainian refugees by signing up to the government’s Homes for Ukraine scheme.
The scheme allows landlords and tenants to act as a sponsor in the UK to host Ukrainian refugees in their homes rent-free.
The government is offering sponsors £350 a month for up to 12 months for housing a Ukrainian national and will also be provided with sponsorship packs following their approval as a sponsor.
Security checks will also be carried out on every sponsor and they will also be provided the necessary resources and protections.
Concerns have been raised that landlords may run into complications with their mortgage and insurance providers if they sign up to the scheme without contacting them. With that in mind, Keystone has pledged to do all that it can to ensure that landlords can sign up to the scheme with no negative knock-on effects.
Brokers are advised to call Keystone’s servicing team on 0345 877 8913 before their clients sign up to the scheme so that everything can be put in place correctly.
