Leek United has relaunched its ‘Save and Support’ Affinity Account following its new three-year partnership deal with Stoke City Football Club.
T mark the account’s re-launch, Leek United chief executive Andrew Healy (pictured, left) presented a cheque for £19,504 – based on the balances held in existing Save and Support accounts during the last 12 months – to Stoke City’s chief commercial officer, Paul Lakin (pictured, right) at the Potters’ bet365 Stadium.
Healy said: “We are delighted to re-sign and be teamed up with Stoke City as their official savings and financial services partner.
“There are a great many Stoke City fans amongst the Society’s membership, and our Save and Support Affinity Account has already proved hugely popular with them since its initial launch, with more than 1,400 junior and adult accounts opened.
“The account is an ideal way of enabling supporters to save money AND back their club – it also brings together the benefits of mutuality to football fans young and old.”
Lakin added: “Over the last five years the Stoke City FC Save & Support Savings Account with Leek United has gone from strength to strength, and we are delighted with the Society’s continued support.
“We are two prominent businesses, both with a strong geographical presence in the region, and this partnership allows us to provide a great savings opportunity for all members of the public to benefit.”
