Freedom Finance’s loan sourcing portal, The Lending Wizard, has added two new members to its team.
They are Nicola Mooney and Alison Houghton-Corfield, both of whom bring a many years’ experience in financial services, much of it gained elsewhere within Freedom Finance.
Mooney has worked for Freedom Finance since 2003, where her first role was as a loan officer, moving up to her current position of operations manager.
Houghton-Corfield has spent 20 years working in finance and has developed her knowledge through work across a wide variety of different areas, such as general insurance, compliance, risk and mortgages.
Mooney said: “My father has been a self employed IFA and insurance broker for most of his working life and the financial sector appears to be woven into my genes. The Lending Wizard has some really strong working relationships with the likes of Legal & General Mortgage Club as well as a wide range of the industry’s top lenders.
“I am really looking forward to working with these broker communities and the mortgage networks to break the mould set by others in the industry and find the best, often bespoke, products for customers and meet the varied requirements of as many borrowers as possible.”
Alison Houghton-Corfield added: “I have a keen interest in looking at the bigger picture and considering how it will shape the future of our industry. In this growing market I am excited by the chance to help move Freedom Finance and The Lending Wizard forward and make it a one stop shop by offering more than just secured and unsecured loans.
“Our newly expanded broker team has over 80 years’ experience within the secured loans arena and are very keen to share their skills and knowledge with intermediaries, whilst supporting them in sourcing the best and most appropriate products for their customers.”
