Legal & General has made a number of changes to its EAP with Health Assured.
The new enhancements will extend its EAP telephone support service to immediate family members of employees whose employers are Legal & General group protection customers. Employees and their immediate family members will have access to confidential and unlimited 24/7 support and will be able to speak to qualified counsellors and advisers who can help them with a range of services, including bereavement assistance and medical information.
Employees will also have access to a new Health Assured smartphone app called My Healthy Advantage, which offers a variety of bespoke wellbeing features aimed at supporting their mental and physical health.
Some of the key features of the new app include:
- A weekly mood tracker allowing users to track their mood in relation to their financial, physical and general wellbeing.
- Mini health checks for body mass index, waist measurements, sleeping patterns, alcohol consumption, mental health and fatigue.
- Four-week plans aimed at improving employee health, by focusing on areas like quitting smoking, losing weight and coping with pressure.
Legal & General has also recently introduced an Umbrella Benefits scheme. The scheme enables employees to qualify for discounts off Legal & General‘s life and home insurance products, as part of their employer having a group protection policy with Legal & General.
