Metro Bank has appointed Clare Gilligan as its company secretary.
Gilligan (pictured) joins Metro Bank after more than 15 years at the Bank of Ireland where she held a number of senior risk governance roles and was most recently its UK company secretary.
She will lead the Bank’s company secretarial function and ensure it continues to meet its statutory and regulatory obligations.
This role will report into Stephanie Wallace, Metro Bank’s general counsel.
Gilligan said: “Metro Bank’s vision and commitment to supporting its local communities is clear in everything it does. I’m really excited to be joining the team as the bank continues to grow and bring community banking to new locations in the north of England.”
Wallace added: “I am delighted to welcome Clare as our company secretary. Her knowledge and experience will make her a great asset for Metro Bank as it continues its ambition to be the number one community bank.”
