Paymentshield has launched upgrades to its home emergency and legal expenses cover following the appointment of Motorplus as the sole supplier for these offerings.
Its home emergency cover, which has been doubled to provide up to £1,000 in the event of a claim, provides policyholders with access to an emergency helpline should they need to arrange urgent repairs to their home if it has been left unsafe or uninhabitable.
In addition, the policy will cover the cost of alternative accommodation, up to £100, if the house cannot be lived in and now also includes a contribution of £500 towards a new boiler if the policyholder’s boiler cannot be economically repaired.
Meanwhile, Paymentshield’s legal expenses cover sees protection for clients now extended from £50,000 to £100,000, with probate and tenancy disputes also covered.
The legal expenses product, also offers legal advice and financial support in a range of other situations including employment disputes, traffic offences and personal injury, as well as clinical negligence and proceedings or appeals regarding clients’ tax affairs.
