Signature Private Finance expands lending team

Signature Private Finance has appointed Michelle Walsh to its team of relationship managers.

Walsh will be bringing the firm’s service to Wales, the South West and the M4 corridor, an important growth area for the business.

In her previous role as a business development manager with Octopus Property, Walsh demonstrated an ability to identify the most effective and innovative solutions to produce sustainable customer centric results that increased business revenue, while mitigating risk.

The privately-owned principal lender encourages team members to own deals from enquiry to exit.

Signature CEO, Tony Gilbertson, said: “It’s important for Signature to maintain the momentum built over the last 12 months, which has seen us hit our £100m lending target ahead of schedule.

“This latest appointment is very gratifying and confirms Signature not only has the right products and services to attract business from commercial finance brokers, but a growth strategy that now attracts highly talented and experienced individuals of the Michelle’s calibre.

“I’m confident she will help us continue to implement our client-centric approach to the lending process, based far more on building strong face-to-face relationships with brokers than computer-based decisions on the short-term property finance their clients need.

“To reach the £250m target we have set for ourselves, we know we will have to work hard to further enhance our lending team with experienced individuals who possess the skills we need and share our ambition for the business.”

Walsh added: “I was impressed by the strategy Signature is pursuing and the ambition to hit a £250m lending target over the next few years. The approach here is different and puts clients at the heart of the decisions made, which reflects my personal ethos.

“Wales and the South West is important to the continued success of Signature and I’m confident I will identify and develop lending opportunities with intermediaries across the region, helping raise brand and product awareness, whilst growing existing relationships to deliver repeat business.”
