The Exeter has announced that Isobel Langton will succeed Andy Chapman as its new chief executive.
She will join the health and protection insurer in April, subject to regulatory approval.
Langton has spent over 30years within the insurance industry. Most recently chief executive of Royal London’s intermediary division, she created and implemented strategy for its protection business and led the pensions business.
Prior to that, she was group customer service director at Royal London and has also held senior roles within Scottish Life and Irish Life Assurance.
Chapman announced his intention to retire in February 2020. The search for his replacement began a year ago but has been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We knew that we wanted someone who had experience of running a large business, but just as importantly was the right cultural fit. Isobel not only has a passion for delivering excellent customer service and is committed to the ideals of mutuality, but she is focused on developing high performing teams.”
