Leeds Building Society has appointed Karen Wint as operations director and will join the mutual’s main board.
The board now has four executive directors and eight non-executive directors under the leadership of chairman Robin Smith.
Wint (pictured) joined the Society in 1997 and has been a member of the senior management team for five years as general manager, with responsibility for customer services.
She is also a member of Leeds City Council’s Housing and Regeneration Board and an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
“I am absolutely delighted and very proud to be appointed to the Board of Leeds Building Society,” said Wint.

She will have executive management responsibility for all the Society’s operational areas including new lending, customer service, information technology and human resources.
Smith added: “This is an excellent appointment and I am delighted to welcome Karen to the Board. She is a qualified banker with a wealth of experience and a wide ranging knowledge of the Society.
