The Leeds Building Society has made a a £500 donation to the Middleton Park FC under 15s football team.
These funds see the Society enter into a season’s sponsorship agreement for the Under 15s team to carry the Society’s logo on the front of the players’ shirts.
Wayne Dixon, secretary and first team manager at Middleton Park FC, said: “The kit sponsorship is vital to encourage young people from such a disadvantaged area to play football, which is a very expensive sport to play.
“The sponsorship allows our club to get more young people active and ensure they have the ability to keep fit, develop their skills and of course have fun in a safe environment.”
“We are delighted to make this donation and support the team,” said Chris Sykes, manager of Leeds Building Society’s branch in Beeston.
“As a building society, we are owned by our members and are pleased to support good causes in the communities where we and our members live and work.”
