Source Insurance has committed to reducing its carbon footprint and announced that clients can now access their documents online.
Client documents have been available online via the Source GI platform’s broker services extranet for a while, but this extends it to clients.
If policyholders opt to receive their insurance documents by email instead of by post, they will also now be able to view them 24 hours a day on the new secure online Customer e-Docs extranet.
This system also provides clients with the added security of policy documents being stored in a safe location, and available to reference from anywhere, including via iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices.
Kevin Paterson, the Source’s managing director, said: “It’s a fact that more people are now choosing to consume the outputs of their purchasing decisions online. For example, receipts for both internet and in store shopping, motor insurance, event tickets, etc. It seemed like an obvious next step for The Source to offer our policyholders this option too.
If a broker captures their client’s email address at point of sale and opts them in to our e-Docs service, we will automatically send an email to the client explaining how to access their documents any time they want to.”
