Dean Fensome has been appointed as interim chief executive of the Teachers Building Society.
His appointment follows the departure of James Bawa to head up the Monmouthshire Building Society.
Fensome will also continue with his responsibilities as finance director. He joined the society in May 2015 and has over 30 years experience in financial services, including senior roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Direct Line Group.
He said: “We have very solid foundations here at Teachers Building Society, with great capital strength, a unique proposition of helping teachers to own their own homes and a reputation for delivering truly personal service.
“I know I speak for the whole team here at Teachers when I thank James for his long and distinguished service to the Society and wish him all the very best in his new role at the Monmouthshire.”
