United Trust Bank has appointed Adam Bovingdon and Steve Brigly to its development finance team.

They join United Trust Bank as property development managers with key responsibilities to enable United Trust Bank to increase its lending capacity whilst maintaining high service levels to brokers and borrowers.

Noel Meredith (pictured), executive director at United Trust Bank, said: “There’s been no let-up in demand for development finance at UTB with proposals and completions continuing to increase throughout this year. With Adam and Steve joining the team we can guarantee our ability to continue delivering very high service levels and at the same time extend our capability to allow us to consider even more proposals.

“Both Adam and Steve bring with them a great deal of knowledge and experience but perhaps most importantly they share our desire to deliver a service which goes far beyond that offered by most other lenders in the sector and one which differentiates us completely from those on the High Street. With a bigger team and a strong ambition to further increase our lending and market share, we are committed to making United Trust Bank the best and busiest specialist development finance lender around.”

Bovingdon joins the firm having spent eight years at RBS, most recently in a business development and relationship management role within the real estate finance team.

He said: “I’m very happy to be joining United Trust Bank. Over the last year or so I’ve heard on many occasions, even from former clients, how the UTB team are really getting out and lending, not just talking about it, and also how the service they provide as a high quality specialist lender leaves the mainstream banks firmly in their shadow.

“I’m looking forward to working with a lender which has gained such an outstanding reputation.”

Brigly joins from One Savings Bank where he was head of commercial lending. There he also played an integral part in the preparations for the JC Flower investment. During his 25 years in the industry Brigly has also gained considerable experience of specialist property lending working at the Belgian KBC Bank and Close Brothers Property Finance.

He said: “I really love to go out and meet customers on site, put deals together and provide a really personal service. That’s something United Trust Bank has built its reputation on, so when the opportunity came along to join the team, I jumped at the chance.”
