Adam Oldfield has been appointed as sales director for Vertex Financial Services.
Oldfield (pictured) joins from Oakwood Global Finance LLP, where he was head of sales and marketing.
He has also previously held a senior management role in business development at HML.
Oldfield is tasked with leading the growth of Vertex’s client portfolio, which already includes lenders including ING, Virgin, Birmingham Midshires, Alliance & Leicester, JP Morgan and other investment banks.
“We have been one of the leading providers of technology and business process outsourcing to the financial services sector since our foundation as Marlborough Sterling in the 1980s,” said Robert Coyle, Vertex’s managing director.
“In recent years, we had consciously placed less emphasis on sales and marketing, focusing instead on developing the most robust and highest quality software and service.
“Having invested heavily in consolidating the systems and processes we offer our clients, however, we are now ready to take this service actively to market, confident that we now have a market-leading platform. Adam, with his knowledge and experience of the mortgage lending sector, is the person to help us grow this business.”
Oldfield added: “As the UK mortgage market starts to see recovery, Vertex will be in the perfect position, being already experienced in bringing new banks to market and providing technology and servicing to a number of existing players. With such an enviable track record, Vertex is an exciting place to be.”
