The Ipswich Building Society has promoted Kevin Davis from senior mortgage underwriter to mortgage sales manager with immediate effect.
Davis (pictured, left), who holds a Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) and is qualified in Financial Services Regulation and Ethics (FSRE), joined Ipswich Building Society in 2009 having previously been an account handler within the insurance industry.
Starting as a member assistant in the Society’s branch network, he was promoted to mortgage underwriter before then assuming the role of senior mortgage underwriter, a position he has held for the past three years.
In his new role, Davis will be responsible for supervising the indirect broker support team alongside managing the society’s team of direct mortgage consultants. He’ll work closely with the intermediary business development team to ensure alignment between sales activity and the Society’s wider development strategy.
Richard Norrington (pictured, right), Ipswich Building Society CEO, said: “Kevin has been an extremely dedicated member of the team for a decade now and I am delighted to extend my congratulations on his new position. We are always keen to recognise and develop the talent we have within the Society, and Kevin’s promotion from our underwriting team to mortgage sales manager demonstrates the investments we make in our staff development.
“Kevin’s understanding of our business and our individual approach to manual lending will be of benefit to our sales operations, enabling us to both support our intermediary partners and direct applicants, helping prospective borrowers to achieve the mortgage offer they need.”
